How to Join When Zoom Is Difficult
If Zoom is easy on your phone, use the normal link on the event page. If it is not easy, use this guide.
Before the Event Starts
- Open the event page early and write down the time, meeting ID, and passcode.
- Charge your phone and close other apps if your device is slow.
- Ask for WhatsApp help before the start time if you think you may have trouble joining.
If the Zoom App Will Not Open
- Try opening the event link in your browser.
- If that fails, use the WhatsApp Help page and explain the problem clearly.
- Ask whether a phone buddy, dial-in path, replay, or audio recap is available for that event.
If Your Connection Is Too Weak
- Turn off video if video is not necessary.
- Move closer to the strongest signal you can find.
- If live access still fails, ask for the replay or audio recap.
If You Are Helping Someone Else
- Send them the meeting ID and passcode in plain text.
- Keep instructions short and step-by-step.
- Stay with them until they either join successfully or have a fallback plan.
